Zzzzzzzzzz.....

See how we like to sleep during the day...1st one is Ella, she likes to sleep on the couch and throws her head back with her mouth wide open (not sure if she is taking after dad or Grandpa B there!!). Next is Emma, she likes her plug, but knows when she doesn't need it any more!! The last pic is of Ella. They both do this though. They're not so sure about the bouncy seat, but like to bury themselves in their blankets, and now are strong enough to kick their legs right out!! Too cute if you ask me!!!

First day of daycare!!

Another transition time...the girls started daycare (half day) on Wed. the 20th so I could go to work for a couple hours. This is also the first time the girls are in "real clothes," not just sleepers!!! We thought we should look nice to meet our new friends at daycare! They met cousins Lisa, Jayden and Maddie, as well as two other toddlers. We start full time on Monday the 25th!!

Family Visits

Grandma Mary came to spend the night with the girls and magically got them to sleep for a solid 6 hours!!! Come back, come back Grandma!!! Grandma and Grandpa B came through town and offered some help feeding the girls. I love help with feeding times!!! "UD," as he likes to be called (Uncle Dan) also stopped by this day to offer some love! And I promise, with a little time and energy, I can look better than the last pic shows (or at least I think so)! But this pic demonstrates one of my many double feeding positions.

It's Tummy Time!!

The girls' first tummy time!! They are getting so strong, but didn't like showing it off this day. Again, usually one wants to fall asleep right away and the other does great!! At our one month check up, we were told to start tummy time and they were weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz for Ella and 8 lbs 4 oz for Emma!! Yikes!! They are doing well, but ironically enough, feeding times can be a bit of a hassle. They seem VERY fussy and seem to have problems with formula right now. So, they are strictly on breast milk for the time being to get back into a routine and hopefully start sleeping better at night (which they have their nights with a good chunk of time, 5 hours or so, then have their fussy nights too!!).

Happy Valentine's Day!

First Valentine's Day deserved a picture. They have little dresses too, but got a little lazy for this shot. Just have the "My 1st Valentine's" bibs on!! They always seem to be the opposite these days...if one is awake, the other is sleeping, if one is hungry, the other is sleeping, if one is crabby, the other is sleeping!! They take turns though, don't you worry!! And a Happy Birthday to Grandpa B from Ella and Emma!!

We are one month old today!!!!

Can you believe it? They are already a month old. Time flies!!! Ella is on the left, Emma on the right, with Ella's individual shot first, then Emma's. This was after feeding time, so they were awake and content. (We got professional shots done yesterday, so stay tuned for those!!) Things have sure changed in the last month...they are eating 4 oz. at a time (Ella is more of an eater than Emma right now), they have outgrown some premie clothing already, they are much more alert and awake for more minutes of the day (still liking the night time to be awake though), sleeping for 3-4 hours at a time, very gasy and fill their pants while eating, and have very strong neck muscles, which they like to show off!! They make the cutest faces and often flip us off or roll their eyes at us (can't wait to the day when that is done on purpose!!). We start daycare the 25th of this month and they have their one month check up and first set of shots on Wed., so weights will come later!! Happy 1 month Birthday Ella and Emma!!
