Summertime!

Loveable Em!

Emma likes taking care of everyone in the house by covering them up with her FAVORITE blankie!! Josie get's it the most often, and here, the blanket was hidden (I try to spread the love to other blankie's) so she improvised and used kitchen towels!!

Spoiled at Grandma's

Since I'm off work for the summer, the girls and I went to Sioux City for a couple days to visit. Unfortunately these are the only two pics I got!! Grandma M. spoiled the girls with pool fun and swings! They hate to be done with the swings, but it really wears us out!! We also visited Grandpa B. and mom's friend Courtney. I'm mad at myself that I didn't get pictures there with her 6 week old twins! Let's just say the girls wreaked havoc at that house and weren't sure about those babies and mom holding them!! One minute they would use nice touches, the next, WHACK in the face!! One minute shy and still, the next, climbing on tables! Ella even tried climbing on in the baby swings too (I guess I should be thankful the babies weren't in it at the time)!! She's was not to happy with mom the whole trip home either, which they both didn't sleep a wink!! They just aren't traveling well at this point!! Too busy to be locked up in the car for more than 10 minutes!!

Bikes and outside

We finally hooked up the bikes to the bike stroller and went on a bike ride the other night...the girls were in heaven, as Dad was tired!! Last couple pics are of us playing outside! They really like to be outside and pick up sticks (Ella) and get down and dirty in the mulch (Emma)!!

KC Trip

We were all exhausted after this trip...the girls played hard with all the cousins! It was mom and dad's first real experience with them not needing us to sit on the floor and play with them...they wanted to be with the big kids!! These pics are with Kaya and Bailey at an indoor play area at one of the malls.

311 Concert

The whole fam went to KC this past weekend so mom and dad could go to the 311 concert on Saturday night!! We met up with some friends of Travis' from high school, who are pictured here, as well as the Lybersis' (sorry, not pictured!)!!

Big Girl Jammies

First pic, is the girls climbing (as always) on the TV stand while we had it cleared off to have the carpets cleaned today (long over due). Next, is the girls picking out their books for story time before bed, showing off their new summer night gowns!!

I was trying to get the girls to "pose" to show off their sandals that they just HAVE to wear right now! This is what I got!! (That's Emma's butt shot, she likes to look at you upside down, through her legs, but I was again, too slow!)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Dad's birthday present from mom!! He is a Gemini, which means twin, so this is a symbol of the one and only "sign" we were to have twins!! Once the girls are a bit older, he will be adding to this!!

Going to Grandma's!!

I guess they were eager (and mom and dad were too slow) to get to Grandma Mary and Grandpa Goob's!!

Memorial Weekend

We spent the weekend in Sioux City with the grandparents...first at Grandpa and Grandma B's for Aunt Kelsey's graduation party, then off to Grandma and Grandpa Moore's.

Bath Tricks

This has made me laugh (the part where they slowly take their hands down!!) the past couple of weeks during bath time!! Today, I finally got it on camera!! I guess they are practicing balancing for some future pageant or something!!

The girls got a new table and chairs set from Ellis' and they love em!! They first saw it this morning, and sat there for a good 30 min. without moving! Usually, they are in the kitchen watching me get breakfast ready, but not this time!!

Mom's Friends

Mom's friend, Kim, and her daughter Brooke stopped by a couple nights this past week on their way to and from South Sioux. Brooke found a new best friend....Josie!!

Time Out Corners

The girls had to be put in time out one night after playing and standing in their high chairs while mom was alone and cleaning up!! They actually sat their for their 30 seconds or so!! Now, we get strapped in!! Oh, the torture!!

New Tricks Update

I am amazed by what they learn each day...first pic is Emma helping mom by drying the highchair tray, next pic (I've told this story a lot, but here's the pic finally) I went to find Emma one morning, walked right by her, only to turn around and find her at the table doing "homework" I guess (first time she climbed up to the table, now it's a daily occurance), and last is Ella at the table another day. Ella likes to be like Emma, but isn't as brave!!

Spring Softball

The girls and I went to one of dad's softball games. Mom was really tired after this one....it's true, one went that way, the other went the opposite way!!

Fun with Aunt Carrie

Some of the few pics we have of the girls so far this month came when they spent a Sunday at Aunt Carrie's while mom and dad slaved away at the vacant rental unit!!

Team work

First Ella gives Emma the flower...then Emma walks it over to mom...and gives mom a flower!! About made me shed a tear (and yet I was able to catch it all on camera)!!

My Little Turkeys...

...are getting more and more creative when mom is busy in the kitchen!! They had maneuvered their wagon over to the couch, climbed up the couch to the end talble!! And they do it all in pairs!!

Visiting with Friends

Ella and Em got to meet some friends, Roberta and Ella Strong, for the first time!! "Big" Ella was quite helpful with the little girls!!
