Pre-bath Wrestle-maina!!

Tricky Ella!!

Mom had a headache and was using my neck massager that the girls got me for Mother's day, but had to get up to scold her sister, so Ella jumped right in my spot!!

Cousins

Cousins Ethan (red) and Isiah (black) with the girls on 4th of July, minus baby Sophia!

Fun Facts

1. The girls are talking A LOT!! They always did, but now I can actually understand what they are saying. Not sure if it's because I'm around them more this summer or if they are just turning that corner, but it's noticeable!! Watch out!!

2. Ella lets me know every morning "Mommy, I wan a nak (aka snack)!!"
Mom: You want breakfast?
Ella: Yep!
Mom: What would you like for breakfast?
Ella: Oast an nanna!
Mom: You got it Ella!!

3. The girls both have their own "pooping" spot, and it's not the toilet. Emma goes in the kitchen and stands in the corner and yells at you if you interrupt her process. While Ella hides around the corner of any room you are in. If you ask them what they are doing, they both say "mommy, poop!!"

4. After they have done their job in their spot, then I ask, Who's poopy? Emma says "s" (aka Yes) and Ella throws her hands in the air and says "I am!!"

5. They are doing pretty good with the potty part though. I will often have to hunt them down and find them on the pot themselves! Or if I'm in the kitchen, Ella will run out naked from the top down cheering for herself and smiling from ear to ear!! Proud girl!!

Day at the Lake

The girls are starting to like the water a bit more this summer!! We've been on the boat a couple times now and they do really well. Ella, however, prefers to cover herself up with a towel while riding in the boat, while Emma just wrinkles up her face the whole time. Such big girls!!

Playtime

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!

Please excuse Emma's nose picking habit in the last pic!!

Mommys in training!

First day of our summer break together, we went to the library, colored, played outside (a lot), did puzzles, and played with our babies!! They are really getting into the pretend play!! It's pretty adorable!! Emma has the pink baby.

Pool time

Something I hope we do a lot this summer!! The girls made it to the second step by themselves!! Already way better than last year!

Trip to Sioux City

I took these while driving...naughty mommy!!

"i can do it myself mom!"

During snack time one weekend, I was in my room folding clothes and heard someone getting into something. I came out to Emma helping herself to more crackers that she had gotten from the counter by bringing in her chair!!

Dora trikes

Sam's Graduation

The girls, dad, and ACE (Aunt Carrie Eilers) went to cousin Sam's graduation party while mom was having a girl's night previously planned.

Fun Facts:

1. We are at the point where we will only read "Dora" books, which really mean "paper books that mom puts up high so we can't rip em" books!! They do prefer Dora though!!

2. We freeze whenever the Cornhusker State Games commercial is on and dance to the theme song! Not sure why it fascinates them so much, but it really does!!

3. Our dancing skills have upgraded to break dancing type moves! Again, who knows where they got that!! (Side note: as I type this, I hear on the monitor that they have changed the CD playing in their room to the radio, so I go up to get them down from the dresser, or so I thought, but I find them dancing, and I mean dancing, to Beastie Boys!! "Lullabies are for babies mom!!")

4. Seasame Street is known as "Elmo" in our house!

5. We our pros (or close anyway) at drinking out of real cups!!

6. Ella knows all the parts to her body, and Emma knows where everything goes!!

7. Any kind of meat is called "hotdogs!!"

8. And any black truck is "daddy"!!

9. We mimic everything (dance moves, song mellodies, words, etc)!! (We're getting too big!)

10. We still love Dora, Elmo, dancing, playing with our babies and dishes, and brushing our teeth!!
